Camping Day 1

My whole family got ready for a special event that happens every year, we continued guessing in the car which annoyed them after a few minutes so we stayed silent most of the way. 

We arrived at Lucky’s house, my parents told me and my sister to stay in the car but boredom started to creep in. I opened the car door and hopped out of the car and I saw shoes facing me, I slowly looked up and my dad was right in front of me. I quietly asked my dad “where are we going” and he replied with “Camp.”

The ride took 7 hours and we arrived at the campsite at midnight. We washed ourselves and got ready for the night.

I woke up to the sounds of wailing from my alarm clock, I was too tired to get up but I had to anyway. I just got up and my body was feeling stiff as hell. I hopped in the tub and took a refreshing shower and that woke me up. I wasn’t feeling dozy any more so I continued on my morning.

My cousin Ong, his dad and me went on a walk. We drove to Pt.England Beach then walked near the farm. There was some quite unpleasant smells during the walk but at least it was fun. After the long walk Ong's dad went toilet, Ong and I were talking until the Pit Bull was walking on four legs towards us. But with luck on our side Ong's dad came out the toilet. But instead of helping us he just watched, fear crawled all over my body as the Pit Bull came closer. It sniffed Ong then ran away. This experience scared me as much as it scared Ong.

Lighting a Bulb

On Wednesday 17th of June year 7's and 8's from Glen Taylor School Walked to Tech we were in different groups. I was in science with Mrs Sherma, she helped us light a bulb using wires even helping us turn a bulb on using a switch. I was put into a group, we got our bulbs so we started. I started connecting random wires into random parts. I tried the skill I used last time we tried to turn on a bulb but without a switch. It worked but I had to connect the switch to the battery so the switch would turn on the bulb with one click.

Energy

Saving energy at home is a very important job, without saving energy you will have to pay a lot of energy bills. Here are some great tips on how to save energy at your home. You should have barbecues instead of cooking on the stove, maybe invite some friends. Play outside a lot more and have less time inside, try exploring your garden and see how much bugs you will find in there. When your not using the WiFi it is a good idea to turn it off.

EarthWorms

Earth Worms are magnificent creatures, without them our earth won't look like what it looks like right now. Earth worms help make our soil better but not just that, they are food to most animals like birds, small lizards, centipedes, ground beetles, and much more.

Plastic

Most plastic are single use which means that they are only used once.
There is a type of plastic called reusable plastic, and reusable plastic can be used multiple times. Like water bottles, plastic pipes that plumbers use. Plastic bags are single use plastics, you go shopping with them then once u reach home you throw it in the bin. Our planet is being trashed with plastic, many marine animals are dying from plastic.

Lockdown was boring, we stayed home there was nothing to do there except extra chores.

On Monday I was going insane, I found that we were going back to school.
Coronavirus can kiss the earth goodbye.
Kiwis can’t get the Corona.
During this lock-down there was nothing to do, we had our chrome books so now everyone knows what we have to do.

Over the 6 to 7 weeks we spent at home, how do you feel?

What I have been wondering about is, how toilet papers help with the Coronavirus?

Dear Mr. Aidan

Hello my name is Harry and I am Burmese, I was born in Malaysia and both my Mum and Dad had work to attend to in Malaysia. They couldn’t look after me because their work would take the whole day so my Aunt took me to Myanmar. I lived with her and her family for 3 months. During the 3 months I hadn’t seen my mum in so long that I started calling my Aunt mum. I came to New Zealand when I was 3 years old with both my parents Mum and Dad.

I go to Glen Taylor School, I have tons of favorite teachers, but during the Covid19 Lockdown (Coronavirus) lockdown I forgot most of their names. My favorite teacher would be Mrs. Fonua (sorry to all the teachers at my school) I wanted to be in her class ever since I was a year 4. Now I'm in her class, I can say my class is so fun. At the end of the day, we usually go out for a game with 3 other classes. It's quite a challenge playing against other classes because I'm not the fastest in the school, but I still have fun.

During this lockdown I get so bored when I'm not online, there is nothing to do. This lockdown has been fun in some parts and not fun in others. The fun part is we have no tests, and we don’t have a time limit for eating. The opposite of the fun part is when we leave our google meet call with our teacher for a break, there is nothing to do.

Hmmm, what makes me unique?

The only fact is that I have 2 pointy ears and I'm proud of it. I don’t mind people calling me “Elf” because of it because I'm already use to it. Now people don’t see me as an elf, I am the short skinny dude with fast tiny legs. I haven’t decided what I wanted to be when I grow up.

My New Teacher

Mrs Fonua was my new teacher in my new class, I was shy on the first day of class. When we had to introduce our selves I just said my name that is all. A month later I got used to her, She was nice, Funny, and shes married. I was lucky to have a teacher like her, she was the best teacher I have ever had. I was so happy that I was in her class.
